For my video and audio class final, I developed a pitch for Beyond The Look, an imaginary fashion podcast created in collaboration with SMU’s student-run fashion and lifestyle magazine, SMU Look. This project included a complete brand identity with a logo and brand kit, a comprehensive pitch deck, SoundCloud links to the podcast, and a social media reel. The pilot episode of the project was based on an interview with Caitlyn Brax, a local vintage store owner and denim enthusiast. To bring the concept to life, I used Canva for branding elements, Adobe Audition for audio editing, and Adobe Premiere for video content.

The mission behind the podcast….

Each episode aims to answer the question, “What makes them, or it fashionable?”. While people often hear about someone being fashionable or recognize fashion by its outward appearance, this podcast seeks to provide a comprehensive explanation. “Beyond The Look” strives to educate listeners on the 'why' behind fashion and trends, encouraging a more profound understanding beyond mere aesthetics. The overarching objective is to connect with individuals with a genuine interest in cultivating a deep appreciation for fashion and to empower them to embrace their distinctive style and foster self-individuality through compelling storytelling.
